Danclawdd Cottage

A tranquil, secluded detached getaway for two, perfectly placed for hill walking and coastal explorations.

Deep in the dramatic heart of North Pembrokeshire, at the foot of the Preseli Hills, Danclawdd offers a unique self-catering holiday experience. The accommodation lies in the grounds of the owners' traditional Welsh stone cottage. We are ideal for walking enthusiasts and lovers of the outdoors, and the peace and privacy also makes this a lovely romantic retreat for couples.

Sympathetically converted from a 17th Century Welsh Longhouse in 2014, the centrally heated cottage sleeps two people and provides complete peace and escapism, yet has all the comforts of a home from home.  The light and airy kitchen/dining lounge space is fully equipped and has a Scandinavian log burner for the chillier evenings.  There is a spacious bedroom with King sized bed and views to the Preseli Hills plus separate bathroom with shower.  All accommodation is on one level. A parking area next to the cottage, cycle/surfboard storage facilities and free wi-fi are provided for your convenience. We also have a dedicated EV charging point; please message us for further details. In our fields we have several tame pet sheep who love to meet visitors.

Danclawdd joins directly to a network of public footpaths into the Pembrokeshire National Park.  Walk from the property directly onto trails into the heights of the wild and rugged Preseli Hills. Maenclochog village has a well stocked shop, garage & cafe, with cute & quirky Narberth being around 20 minute's drive. The popular destinations of Tenby, Saundersfoot, St. Davids, Newgale Sands, Marloes Peninsula, Strumble Head, Porthgain & Newport are all within 30-45 minutes by car. Lys Y Fran reservoir offers walking, fishing & cycling less than 4 miles away.

We look forward to welcoming you as guests at Danclawdd Cottage and hope you will enjoy this gateway to Pembrokeshire. Sorry no pets at present due to location in open fields with livestock.
